Daily Reading

Daily Verse
When I have brought them back from the nations
and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies,
I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations.
Then they will know that I am the LORD their God,
for though I sent them into exile among the nations,
I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind.
Ezekiel 39:27-28

Daily Thought

He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.
--Isaiah 11:12

Therefore prophesy and say to them: This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.
--Ezekiel 37:12

I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land."
--Ezekiel 37:21

"Can a country be born in a day
or a nation be brought forth in a moment?
Yet no sooner is Zion in labor
than she gives birth to her children.
Do I bring to the moment of birth
and not give delivery?" says the LORD.
--Isaiah 66:8-9

On Friday, May 14, 1948, the Israeli Declaration of Independence announced that the State of Israel has been formally established on land where, in antiquity, the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah had once been.

To God's Glory,

Daily Prayer

Sovereign God, You know the beginning and the end. You set the foundations of the world and write Your story in history. We open Your Word and we find truth to live by and a future to hope for.

I stand behind You, God, because You are the author of life and You have the Last Word. What You say happens. I will listen to Your Word, and I will follow it, because Your Word is worthy of my trust. How great is my God.

Amen.
