A Little Help - September 27, 2010

Daily Reading

Daily Verse
So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days.
Nehemiah 6:15

Daily Thought

It was the annual Sequoia Elementary 2nd Grade Science Fair.

April compared the lasting effects of flowers in cold water vs. warm. Jesse raced eggs, dropping them from a ladder to see which landed first, raw or hard-boiled? Andrew determined which bubble gum blows the biggest bubbles.

But then there was Mark. Mark showed off the remote-control plane he built. It took off from the ground, flew around the classroom, turned 360's in the air, shot plastic missles, and landed right on the bulls-eye.

I think he had help from his dad.

When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.
~Nehemiah 6:16

Daily Prayer

Heavenly Father, there is something different about the work You do. Something special. Whether it is scattering the stars and planets through space, or leading Your people out of captivity to Egypt, parting the Red Sea, or changing the direction of my life, You have made everything beautiful in it's time. Your handiwork is clear.

You are God and there is no other. If I don't say it, all of creation will cry out. The whole world is full of Your glory.

Amen.
