Daily Reading

Daily Verse
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities
-his eternal power and divine nature-
have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made,
so that men are without excuse.
Romans 1:20

Daily Thought

"I'm not an atheist.
The problem involved is too vast
for our limited minds..."
~Albert Einstein

The year is 1905. Albert Einstein is 26.

In March,
Einstein develops the quantum theory of light,
viewing light as tiny particles called photons.

In April and May,
Einstein proves atoms exist.

In June,
Einstein publishes his special theory of relativity,
viewing light as a continuous field of waves.
Measurements of time and distance vary
as anything moves relative to anything else.
Isaac Newton was wrong.
Einstein apologizes to Newton for discovering this.
"Newton, forgive me."

In November,
Einstein proves that energy and matter are linked.
E=MC2.

"...We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws."
~Albert Einstein, "What Life Means to Einstein," Saturday Evening Post

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
~Psalm 19:1-4

Daily Prayer

God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, the whole world speaks of Your glory. I am so small, and yet You are mindful of me. You are so grand, and yet I would ignore You? Really?!

I stand and gaze and marvel at Your creation. I worship You. Oh my God, my Creator, my Savior, Heavenly Father, Lord. What a life! You are wonderful.

Amen
