1Corinthians 12-14

Daily Verse

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts;

and though all its parts are many, they form one body.

So it is with Christ.

1Corinthians 12:12

Daily Thought

It is the mind that says to the hand, "Don't turn that light on," when you have to walk from the bedroom to another room, and it's pitch black.

The head cannot say to the feet,

"I don't need you!"

The mind is really egotistical. "I know my way around this house! Don't turn that light on."

On the contrary, those parts of the body

that seem to be weaker are indispensable.

Meanwhile the toes are saying, "Hey, no. Turn that light on. Turn the light on, will you please?! Man, I'm not going through this again."

If one part suffers, every part suffers with it.

Daily Prayer

My God, Jesus Christ, Savior, You redeemed Your family, the church, and You are its head. We look to You for all strength, guidance, wisdom. You do not show favoritism, rather, to be first, You took last place. Teach us the same humility. May we be the first to take a knee and serve, lifting others up to Your glory.

May we be one in all things. When one hurts, we all suffer; when one succeeds, we all share the victory. One for all, and all for one, and God, you get the glory.
