In The Beginning - October 1, 2010

Daily Reading

Daily Verse
The light shines in the darkness,
but the darkness has not understood it.
John 1:5

Daily Thought

Science says that 13.7 billion years ago, the entire universe was squashed into a single point with zero size. Then there was a Big Bang.

The Big Bang was the beginning of time. This means that questions such as who set up the conditions for the Big Bang are not questions that science addresses.
~Stephen Hawking, A Briefer History In Time

Scripture says that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
~Genesis 1:1

Why does the Bible speak where Science is silent?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
~John 1:1-3

The Bible had Somebody there.

To God's Glory,

Daily Prayer

King of kings and Lord of lords, Maker of the heavens and earth, the First and the Last, Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. You have made all things and in You all things hold together.

What a Wonderful World.

What a Wonderful Maker.

And then You became flesh, human, one of us. The Creator took the form of creation? You must really love us.

Amen.
